Description
Howzat for truth in advertising? "Historical Marker" is a historical marker, and it starts us off on another mini-tour.
This time we are at Havre de Grace, MD. This is a small town where the Susquehanna River enters the Chesepeake Bay and the lighthouse was erected as you can read... As I said, we go to where the river meets the drowned river. One description of the Bay is 'drowned river.' Not going to get into the geomorpologicalliity of the idea, but it's pretty accurate when you realize what the description means... The Bay is essentially a logical extention of the river.
All that blather out of the way, we can actually start to see some stuff.
BTW, this was an EXCEPTIONALLY nice day to play hookey from work, so we did a side trip to a very unique town not far from here.
HdG is about 40 miles NW of Balmer; not quite at the top of the bay. A nice drive if that's what you and your loved one want to do that... Oh yes, Mrs. W wanted to go as well. Sometimes the car and I bring her along.
Most of these are 'snapshot' variety... Got the Canon this time, so the quality should be better.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

cool shot
i'm ready.. so tour away... but ya know, it's really sad that people can't even respect a historical marker and deface it by carving names and stuff in it
Great information and nice photo and will await more in the future. HUGS!!
