Description
This is a memorial for two young girls, inseparable together in life.
They both died in a drowning accident, one trying to save her best friend at the time, while playing in the Tar River, near the town of Tarboro, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

lots of history is in the markers and this is a prime example although no date was offered. excellent reminder of heroism not gained on the battlefield
