Description
Hello all!
Something a bit differant from me today . Don't know what this bug is / I was on the run and in a hurry here, so didn't have much time passing by just tried to capture the light on his wings that shone thru them . I was drawn more to the balence of light and dark than I was the bug itself in this one if that makes any sence ...
Thanks for all your time and comments !
love to you all!
((( big hugs )))

Just discovered this excellent image in LWitG ["Last Week in the Galleries" : http://backroom.renderosity.com/~photo/newweb/last_week_in_galleries/lwig_may22-28_06.html ] Congratulations, Kimmie, for this selection ! :~)
Oh so beautiful - a happy little creature just doing his(her) own thing in the world. Love it - well done!
If you look closely you can almost imagine a silhouetted human form with wings like a ballet dancer this is one of your best I love it V Cathy xoxoxo
so sweet and close! perfect portrait of this elegant animal!
One of the best gallery ===== I do not like to be the first ===== ((V))
Looks like a darner (dragonfly), one of the most predaceous creatures on wings. It is not uncommon for these insects to hunt minnows and even small frogs for their meals, though they primarily prey upon other insects, even their own species. During the Carboniferous Age (millions of years ago), its ancestors had a wingspan of over two feet (60mm). My Vote
I'm not very partial to insects, but I guess youse guys find them OK. Yuk! But it is a wonderful capture!
WOW, What an amazing, artistic image. The choice of B&W is an excellent one here. Great photography at work here
