EDIT [dec. 2011]: really sorry about the blythe, gross appropriation all over this (of Tarot and probably the swords count as well, the way i used them). also i shouldn't be assuming people's gender identities and it's really messed up of me to do so. i apologize for that also.

I said my next post would be another card, didn't I? I'm sorry it took so long -- "grave" started out as the King of Spades but when I finished it I thought it'd look better as a stand-alone image. Tarot cards are alot more versitile, design-wise, than playing cards because stock photos of cups, swords, wands and coins are easy to find, along with the fact that there are a large number of cards in the deck that don't have suits and therefore don't require common elements. I suppose I could get clever with the playing card designs and use photos of wooden clubs, gardening spades, etc. Maybe next time.
Infinite thanks to adamci, DawnAllynn and download for the original photographs. You can see them here:
the model lying down
their sword
the arms at the top
the ubiquitous card background
I took some great photos yesterday so expect to see some of them tomorrow, and probably some more the day after that. Chow!
