Something completely different from my normal work, but I visited a cementary in the Tsjech republic where a dear friend of mine is buried and as I was walking over the cemetary I was looking at all the graves of soldiers from different nationalities some known, some unknown, who were buried there during WWII.
Once enemies and now lying together in peace.
It once again made me think about why people fight against each other and the lyrics of the song above came to mind.
I tried to capture the feeling I had in a image and this is how it turned out.

Very powerful image..........
This picture is a remake of a classical theme, but it still manages to give off that special air mentioned in your description! As with some of your other pictures, I find that you've missed out on some of the smaller details such as the equipment being in mint condition :P Also, this is mere preference, but I think the skeleton could use some moss on a few places, just to add some more touch to the whole "old as hell" thing going on there. Also, a little kudos must to for the darker edges which draw focus to the middle of the image, very neatly done!
