Description
This is the second picture I will post of the Kinderdijk.
Kinderdijk, (Childrensdyke), the place where during the devastating Sint Elisabeth's Flood of 1421, a baby in a cradle washed ashore. A cat keeping the cradle in balance and so saving his own life and that of the baby. Nowhere in the world you find so many windmills working together in a complex. A typical Dutch scenery of 19 windmills build between 1521 and 1760 capable of keeping the 'Alblasserwaard' dry. The Alblasserwaard is a region located nearby Rotterdam.
