Description
This is a very rich scene. (BTW: glad so many are enjoying this mini tour! I did not think it would be so interesting to outsiders.)
Lots of architectural gems to be seen here. Two churches on the left with a roofline of rowhome/townhouses between them. (Some of these types go back to Civil War period housing for demobilized troops.) Two pointy domes from some Victorian heap I have to find out of curiosity. The tall poles are the AMTRAK mainline cutting across the city. That building on the right looks as if it could be a railroad station, but really hard to be sure. The large pyramidal roof above it is a sadly-run down, really run down, pavilion in Clinton Park. Indeed, most of the green on the skyline is Clinton Park. That really interesting square tower is a mansion in the park which is now a public works office. (We definitely got some purposeful camera hunting to do this summer.)
Lots of sight-seeing potential, but some of these neighborhoods are not as safe as they seem from this distance. One gets a 6th sense about this sort of thing while driving through them. Still they show, in views like this, how interesting an older city such as this can be... as well as hint at hidden potential for sensible development as we saw in the Canton and Federal Hill / Locust Point (grain elevator) tours.
Enjoy; but mind your step, hon. Thanks for viewing.

Still not sure where you are at this point. Missed the name of the town. Wonderful photo, and yes, you do need to be aware of where you are in any town. Thanks for sharing. HUGS!!!
nice town you have there
We are still on a parking garage shooting Baltimore.
i like this one too, with the row houses and the tall steeple, mixed in with all that greenery
Wonderful capture of this fascinating town! Fascinating to see all these details! Gorgeous work!
