This is an interesting way of telling a story. The ending breaks my heart. Their life had so much promise. It's sad how life can change so irrevocably without notice.
Truth can, indeed, be stranger than fiction. And, much more sad. Wonderfully presented piece!
Wonderful choice of a cold and clinical way to tell a sad human story that happens with slight variations everyday somewhere on the globe. An unforeseen circumstance or a bad choice and dreams and hopes lie in ashes. It reminded me of two Joan Baez songs. "The Last Lonely and Wretched" and "There but for Fortune" And of a poem my sister and I used to read to each other, when such horrors of life were but faintly understood, called "Two Pictures" (artist unknown).
