Description

The Royal Crescent in Bath, England, a town built by the Romans. At a newsagent's in a small town near there I once bought some picture postcards to send home. They depicted only an ordinary crossing with ordinary houses and shops, but they were in sepia and dated from the 1950s (I'm talking about 1972). That memory, and the fact that there's no sky, made me save this pic in sepia before posting it. Good old nostalgia, eh? What ever happened to it?

Excellent image. The scale does throw you for a loop at first, but it's a very cool image.

At first, I thought what a great picture. Then, I had to look closer again. Is this a model? I ask, because the scale of the trees and their leaves, plus the posts in the left foreground and the wall and rocks and flagpoles in the background would be huge, if this were to scale. You got me there for a minute......

The title of this series of pictures is "Weird Europe". The first one featured the Eiffel Tower and the Houses of Parliament in such a way that it couldn't possibly have been composed. Please view my other ten "Weird Europe" postings and read the comments and my replies. The photos, as I have explained, were taken in Brussels, Belgium (in a theme park called "Mini Europe").
