Description
(Oyster Bay, NY)
I know that swans are large birds, but you really get a sense of their size when they zoom past you. It was a good thing that I was not standing when this one passed overhead. I could feel/hear those huge wings. I looked up and shot by reflex. It really surprised me--I didn't see it coming at all.

Fantastic to see these elegant birds flying! Gorgeous work!
Beautiful !!!
Quite an honor as they usually don't fly this close overhead. It must have seen you as no threat. Good job with this photo!! HUGS!!
Lovely compo for this swan shot!
Still an excellent shot!
Excellent "shoot from the hip" capture! Good thing he didn't bonk into you -- would've knocked you out!
