Description
Another picture of the fells around DerwentWater at sunset. This picture was taken within minutes of the first in the series. It was fascinating to watch the continuously changing light especially on the snow capped summits.

Gorgeous colors and light !! WOW spectacular!!
Marvelous
Wow... pure beauty...
Beautiful image:)
Such surreal looking colors. Really beautiful!!!! It has a magic kinda feel to it. Im wondering though if you couldnt have cropped it some at the top. I personally prefer wider crops on landscapes...and by doing so you would also get rid a little of that blown white spot. Just my humble opinion of course. Have a great sunday. #:O)
Excellent! Surreal indeed, almost makes it look fake, but I'm sure it's real. Well done.
That light is stunning! Timing is essential while the height of the sun changes and the clouds pass by! Love this wonderful landscape! Very beautiful! Excellent work!
Blue,Cream.Fuschia,Lavendar,Gold,Mauve and Pink!!! However did you do it? This is really a fantastic photo. HUGS!!!!
wow, realy fantastic, super!!!
Zacko: I agree ... the burn out was niggling me too. I cropped the picture as you suggested. Looks better. drawbridgephoto: Surreal - yes, Fake - definitely not. Maybe the compression of perspective due to the long telephoto adds to the effect. This place is amazing. The weather and consequently lighting conditions change from minute to minute. It's just a case of waiting for the right moment. Claudialee: The fells here in Cumbria are naturally a rich tapestry of colour from grass, bracken, heather and snow. The late evening sunlight just adds to the effect. Luckily I had plenty of time in the evenings because the pictures are taken from the garden of the house we were staying in. I'll post more pictures soon. The Lake District is a photographer's paradise when it isn't raining!!! Thanks for all your comments.
