Description
Kruag had been King of the free Scavs of Balaam since the fall of civilation. At least the fall of HUMAN civilation. The Scavs were terribly busy at creating their own, now that humans were not as big a consideration. With there numbers less than ten percent of their pre-plague levels, His people actually had a chance to flourish.
His son, Prince Kugar, and his bodyguard, Vollock, came running in as he foresaw. He tried not to smile at his son's eagerness. Kruag cleared his throat and pronouned solemnly, "Good day, prince. How fair you?"
Kugar looked up and asked with excitement in his voice,"My father, I volunteer for the mission to seize the lost laboratory of Aldus Panchetta. I wish it. Vollock wishes to go because his brother is there."
Kruag thought for a moment and said, "If you wish a test, I could devise no tougher than this. You'll be in charge of the aspects of the strike on the target. You know what is at stake. Proceed with speed and suriety. Go now with my blessing. May the morning sun show your success to me."
Kugar drop dropped his head and pledged and vowed, "I will not fail you, my father."
Kugar and Vollock left the throne Room with haste to make plans. Kruag sank into the chair he had used as a throne for the past sixty years. He sighed and shook his head. "Absolute promises are easy to make when young. Fare very well my son."
