So what does Colossus think about? My husband seems to think he is thinking "What are these idiots taking a picture of?" He said that Colossus would look at the crowd and then put his head back on his hands. As for me, I cried. This was my first time to see one of these lovely creatures. I believe he is a Silverback Mountain Gorilla. This is one of my other favorite animals. Isn't he just majestic looking?
And as for what he is thinking, well he is probably bored and wishes he could come up with something to do or he could be just a great thinker. Thank you all for the lovely comments on my manatee image. I appreciate all of the lovely comments. Thank you for taking the time to look and any comments you may wish to leave.

Wonderfull!great shot..thinking about Life?
Love this guy. Gorillas have always been on of my favorites too. So powerful, majestic and smart. Yet it's so very disturbing because we capture them and don't have a clue as to their real potential and possibilities. Then we ignore their personalities. Prayers and HUGS!! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely magnificent! Love the expression too, almost as if he's smiling at the camera.
Best gorilla picture I've ever seen. He looks like a Mountain Gorilla to me, too. The pity is that he is safer in the zoo than in the mountains of Rawanda.
He he, philosophising gorilla's are rare but maybe this one is thinking about the issues of life! Gorgeous work!
hi newpy!!!! your picture looks like my hubby! ( Just kidding around) I think he is missing is Gorilla wife. We are fine. Miss ya!!!
