Description
"I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."
- Thomas Jefferson
An experiment in black & white that was inspired by an exchange with my friend Arbelain...

I agree. Thanks for the art and the thought provoking article.
I like your experiment in black & white, love all the shades of grey... excellent!!!!
This is brilliantly composed, but some of the objects could use more contrast. How did the color version turn out?
Evinrude - there was no color version, this was created in black & white from the start. You may be right about the contrast, though at least some of that was intentional - to create visual ambiguity...
excellent work i like the style of colors
hey!...I actually like the change!..Let's see a few more like this!
Nice B/W idea!
Has a surpressive look, with all in a different atmosphere. Well done Sir Claude!
Super quote and wonderful experiment. The non-cromatic textures take on a whole new aspect. A bit more contrast would give it the extra punch it needs though, perhaps you could to this post-render?
