Description
This is what the folks around here (in North Carolina) call brown dirt daubers.
It is some type of the genus (Sphex), of the order (Hymenoptera), the sub-order (Apocrita) and of the family (Sphecidae), though my research thusfar has returned nothing conclusive on it's specie.
Sometimes I wish I had more of an education in entomology, but I don't!
Thanks for looking. Have a fantastic day!

That shot is a killer...Fantastic!
I was unaware that certain wasps can give a person blood poisoning along with a nasty bite. they visit dung and decaying matter and when they sting it is like a dirty needle. awesome macro. I am nervous around them and have not approached this close. I have my spray ready for when working outside of houses
Great macro.
New one to me!! Great Macro Troy
