Description
As I told you yesterday I stayed in Renesse (province of Zeeland) last weekend. Of course we had to go to one of the most beautiful cities over there, called Zierikzee.
What you see here is one of the remains of the past in this tiny city..it is called the Zuiderhavenpoort. This means, translated freely, gateway of the Southern part of the harbour.
Of course this gateway is an old one, built in the 14th Century and at that time one of the seven gateways the city had.

Beautiful historic image, like the detail and composition with the architecture:):)..V
WOW!! You sure don't see things like this anymore! Fascinating how it operates!
Cool bridge! I've seen ones 'sort-of' like this, but they're never the real thing! Wonderful capture!
Excellent old world capture !!~******~!!
Beautiful capture of this part of Zierikzee with the bridge and the tower on the background! Gorgeous work, Oskar! :)
Exceptional photo and thanks for the brief bit of history and note on architecture.
