Looks so secretive in the low soft lighting.
:) this shot is sooo cool, excellently done!!!!
So curious this flower... excellent !
I don't see this sight until late July! Thanks for making me envious as I sit here in 7 inches of snow!! But seriously - a lovely and delicate blossom! :0)

A high culture founded on a sophisticated but largely "organic" technology (as some suggest was the case in Southeast Asia) will not leave the monumental and concrete records many have come to identify with "civilization", e? Now you spose them Aztecs,Toltecs, Mixtecs, and other Techtecs trained some of their gourds to mature into baskets and other containers (as they still do, hehe). What's that Irish walking stick called again? Now how bout them giant Zucchini contests sometimes reported on Britsh teevy, hoho? Impressive light, nice pic.
Very pretty! Some of the well known vegetables put out very attractive flowers, like artichoke for instance. This is a good example.
Beautiful, well-lit shot. Love the sweeping curves of the stalks in the background. Very nice!
Man, I've got trees growing in my yard because I through out fruits...here, all seeds grow..I guess you should be glad it's something you can eventually eat..hope to see the friuts of your labor later~ Aloha!
Beautiful image. Boy if I throw seeds out in the garden, the birds eat them all. lol. It is hard to garden in the high desert. We try to grow grass and have to cover it with a sheet to keep the birdies from eating it before it has time to grow. Birds rule in New Mexico. lol. Excellent image and I really enjoy your information too.
A star of a flower and I like Zucchini. Excellent. Aloha
What a gorgeous macro ! Fantastic lighting and details ! Excellent work !!! V
Lovely shot and an interesting read :-)
very erotic and sensual flower. I have seen many squash plants but do not recall any blossoms of this size. excellent capture
Miam miam !!!! wonderful shot Kort, and the Zucchini flowers are a gastronomical speciality here in South of France, and also in Italy ! I cook them each year with the same pleasure, it's very good !!!!! and thanks for the informations too ! Hugs. V
they grow so well here.. star light, star bright.. :]
Reminds me of tomato flowers! :) Beautiful capture! There's that word, 'cucurbitulae', things used in the Roman time for taking away blood when having fever. Glad to see that kind of (pre)medieval things are no longer in use! Fantastic work, Kort!
I can hear your neighbors now, Look Martha, He's laying on the ground again.(Grin) Super shot!
Nice capture Kort, and the research you've put into providing the dialog that accompanies it, along with the information itself is most excellent! Splendid work! Happy St. Paddy's Day buddy!
Wonderful flower of yellow star.
If this was just taken, consider yourself lucky since even here in California there has been no sun to make the seeds eeven sprout. Thank you for sharing.
Like a bright star shining .... believe the flowers stuffed are delicious cooked .... haven't tried them myself though :)
