wow - interesting and powerful image. you know - it does ring true. back in 1956 when the hungarians pleaded for help to the US to support their revolution and help them keep out the russian advance the US just made empty promises and didnt lift a finger to help. they managed to defeat the soviets in the country, but couldnt stand up to the armored advance that swept in from russia weeks later. as a result tens of thousands of people were massacred and the country plunged into communism for over 40 years. i tend to think that if there was oil or something else that the US had interest in in hungary they wouldnt have hesitated to step in. its amazing how so many forms of tyranny and oppression take place around the world, yet the US does nothing about them. however, when oil is involved theyre they immediately take interest and plunge in headfirst. look at desert storm. do you think if it were some poor country that were invaded, and not kuwait - one of the richest oil-producing countries in the world, they would have given a damn? or committed even 1/10th of the effort they did? great image man. cheers, -gabriel

OOOOOOO how true, but then agien, what is US intrest and where, I shall not lie but US people are great and many of them are good in heart but US goverment is roten to the core and curopted that it is not funny at all, but let actions speak not the words, as in breaveheart it is not the ones who lose that write the history but the ones that win so the truth will come up one day if we are not dead by then because of multis compay that will kill all of us.

All that jazz for a f****ing pipeline coming from Ouzbekistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan. There was an aborted negociation between the western governments and talibans about it during july... It's time to realize that every battle is used as a laboratory. The same oil companies rules the chemical warfare too.

Yeah that's it exactly... the US government are just out for what they can get at the end of the day, corrupt as hell. Supporting dictatorships for their own ends, etc. It must make them a lot of enemies: really I can't help thinking that in part the September 11 attacks were a large-scale retaliation towards that bad attitude. I've no problem with the American people at all (I've just discovered I'm a quarter American myself) but the government leaves a lot to be desired. There are many similarities in my own British government so I think I know what I'm talking about here, and you Bal know exactly what I mean 'cos you are passionate about it :(
