Description
My photography skills can not really do justice to these colorful seeds. Whenever you stumble upon them (pardon the pun!), the reaction is unmistakable: it acts like a human brake! One HAS to pick it up! No wonder there is such a cloud of superstition attached to this beauty! Even if you are not superstitious, you may know this as the "lucky bean"!

I think I read it also occurs in countries with a similar climate to South Africa.
