Description

On February 21st, my husband suffered severe cerebral haemorrhage and after surgery he woke up half paralyzed and unable to speak. I have tried to express the fear, confusion and powerlessness we experience. He is slowly getting better, but only time will tell how much he will gain back. Bryce 5.5, D|S and Apophysis. Slight postwork in Gimp. Thanks for looking, critics are welcome.

You know my thoughts are with you. After we spoke on rendergods, this is amazingly close to what I imagined it would look like. Even without the reasons behind it, it's a very powerful picture.

So much in a small picture, I like the half lit half working, half dark half not working person....and I suppose the seated person is you who cant help but is there. Almost a 'Paint a picture of a thousand words'.... well done Eki & hope his bad days are ending. :)

Beautiful work here... And gives ne meaning to that saying "Every Pciture Tells a Story". Yours expresses feelings. Your hues of blue the lines of light spaces of darkness all hold their own thoughts and feelings true enought im sure. So much I could say bout this piece but will do it in IM later. Just know that you have created a wonderful work of art and I am praying that all is well for you and your husband.

The figure kneeling off to the side just looks soo... lost and afraid - an image full of feeling. I really hope you both find your way back to normal life. I really do. Best, Dave L.

  1. we are still thinking, hoping, and praying for you both. 2) this is a very interesting image, I like the use of the vast, disappearing into the distance on all sides floor texture, gives a feeling of isolation and time stretching in all directions. Something is happening to the central figure, something that seems to flow out behind him, could be a metaphor for an actual event or could be the past flowing out in colourful strands behind him. There is also a feeling of tiredness, waiting and aloneness to the seated figure that seems connected yet isolated in it's own little capsule of time. All in all a VERY powerful yet simple image, well done Ek, and best wishes and hopes to you both.
