Description
I am rather unexperienced in taking photographs of birds. I never was able to take a picture of this beautiful cosmopolitan bird: the buzzard. I had a hard time in chasing the bird... it many times flew away when I pointed my lenses on it.. but one time he or she didn't. I had to crop the photograph considerable to get an image worth viewing.. well.. it is for me, hope it is for you as well.
I think this is a buzzard (Buteo buteo).

I love it. I think it turned out perfectly. But I'm wondering.... is it a buzzard or part of the hawk family?
Wow! Superb capture! Bravo!!!!
It's definitely worth viewing! The buzzards color is a bit too similar to the background, but after all that hunting I suppose you didn't mind the least. Very nice capture!
Splendid capture of this elegant bird ! Very fine !
I forgot to mention in my IM: it's a great picture.
I dream to make a shot lke this one... Excellent capture ! :~)
This is a really beautiful shot... so natural.. fantastic.. capture ..:)
Nice to see a shot taken in the wild. Lovely buteo.
fatastic wild life capture!! ohhh he is a beautiful buzzard thats for sure !!~~.. AWESOME!!
Ha ha, eventually giving in to your efforts, 'ok, I'll pose and you shoot me but then you're finished!' :) Fantastic capture, impressive work, Oskar!
Excellent picture but I think that this is in fact a hawk or falcon of some sort. Usually vultures and buzzards have bald heads and their talons are straiter. These seem to be the talons of a killer not a scavenger. But like I said this is still an excellent picture of a beautiful bird.
Yes. This is a part of the Hawk family! We have these all over the place in the fields by the cows. Always going after the small prey out there. Gorgeous capture of him! Give ya a VOTE****
At least you got it! I've been waiting for an opportunity like this forever! There are several hawks that often perch on trees on my drive home and EVERY TIME they are in a place that I might have a chance to capture them...I don't have my camera or I have my camera and the highway is too busy to take the chance. My husband has given me strict orders to NOT STOP ON THE HWY but I don't know...if I could be obedient with that temptation...ouch! LOL! Congrats to you I would be very happy! :) Did I say vote? Vote
Looks like he is looking right at you, well captured:):)..V
Can almost feel your excitement. Bravo shot.
