Description
Tonight I will show some images taken of my favorite event at a rodeo, Bronco Riding. Bronco Riding is one of the most exciting and traditional events of a rodeo. An actual job in the past and present as Bronco busting is a required step in getting a horse ready for a rider to ride. This event is gauged by a rider staying on board for the required time of 8 seconds and then judged by the flair a rider exhibits by spurring with chaps flying. A rider is required to use one hand to hold on to the bridal rope, while his free hand must not come into contact with the horse. This is not a tame event by any means and will certainly get your heart racing as these horses thunder around the arena.
My good buddy Sharky_ came along on the second day of the Rodeo to keep me company. We stood right next to the fence and shot through the rungs of the fence. Every once in awhile when a cowboy was thrown, the wild bronco would come within inches of the fence, kicking and snorting. That kind of aggression will certainly get your heart pounding...
I will be posting a few more of these riders over the next few nights. Till then buck-a-roos have a great week and thanks for having a look....Aloha!
