I guess the little green men have their 8 legged counterparts and boy are they brazen. They don't even wait until cover of night to do their taking. Anyway I have some much better photos but I had come up with a good title and story for this one so thought what the heck. I think this is really just bad photography, shooting into the sun like that (did it on purpose and had no idea it would turn out like this) I think it looks just like one of those alien beams of light you see in the movies. Anyway thank you for your much appreciated comments and have a wonderful day!

What an eye stopper!! This is an exceptional capture and certainly has the feeling you were after.
Wow! It looks like a still from a 1950s giant monster drive-in flick!
Wow! I think you must be one of the best 'little life' photographers around! I really enjoyed your gallery of wonders!

Scary creature! Are you sure it's going and not being sent to us-(never can be sure what those aliens are up to-LOL) Thanks for sharing.

Very good shot! About shooting into the sun: Its right, when you start doin something new, you must learn the rules, but when you become good, you start to figure out how to break them!
NO WAY !! YY-yIKES SO CLOSE TO IT TOO ( hides ) fantastic!!!
Don't know about you, but, I like a good lens flare!
I like the beam of light ..like star trek. Beam me up Spidey !!!!
brazen looking spider. like it is daring you to approach into it's space
Is that thing as big as it looks??!! The flare just makes it look even bigger. Like it is going to just jump on you and start biting.. !! LOL. The translucence is something that you could really exploit.
YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! Now that is a creepy damned spider!! Better you that got this than me.
