Hi everyone!
This is one of those shots that I mentioned in my previous upload,that I have worked and reworked and reworked ad nauseum,lol.Well,today I scrapped everything I had ever done to it,and started over...yet again...grrrr...LOL.This time I decided to do as little to it as possible and just be done with it once and for all!
This is the final result...and I hope you like it,because I'm NEVER touching it again,lol.

An old saying comes to mind...."less is more." #:op Its soooo easy getting stuck in the postwork-swamp, that it clouds your judgement. You did the right thing by going back to the original and get a fresh new look/start on it. And you made it look absolutely gorgeous!!!! Beautiful colors and lines....and ya just gotta love that Puff-dragon....."Meet the Parents" comes to mind, lol. Very classy stuff Marlene!!!!! Have a wonderful evening!!!! #:O)
Well this looks fabulous to me - definitely no more postwork needed (I would have been tempted to change the name of one of the other boats to 'Pong' but perhaps that is what you did). Lovely shot as alwsy Marlene - Good Tones, colour, exposure, etc :)

I echo Andreas' words here, it's so easy to get lost in postworking. Love the clean lines in this one, and of course Puff is adorable, he wakes up songs in my memory.

'ping' is the correct word ... after working on and on the final result is very near to the original (your words) and it is one of the finest shots I've seen in RR lately (this is worth the LWITG ...). BRAVO !!!
if i remember correctly, Ping was the name of a duck from china my Mother used to read it to me at bedtime!! .. its a fun word to say "PING!!" beautiful capture !
I think the 'Ping!' in this case refers to a brand of golf clubs,but who knows?...And it certainly is a fun word to say!!!

How come i can go out and take 1000 shots of sailboats, and nine turn out with such a great POV as this.hmmmm. I do love the different names on boats, don't you? Th clarity here is spectacular, and the day was perfect for this type of shot. Pinggggggggggggg

Looks perfect to me .... great colours, light and a hint of intrigue over the names of the boats :) Hmmm is your signature getting smaller or is it just my imagination?
do not know why you was unhappy with it. you got imagination, geometric lines,shadows, and sailing all in one. marvelous to view
Always love going to the shore and reading the names people give their boats! You captured 3 classic ones here! The strong diagonals created by your compo...really pull my eyes into the frame.
