Description

Saturn on the night of Jan 28th, 2006, hiding just south of the Beehive cluster (it is supposed to look like a hive surrounded with bees. Maybe Saturn is looking for honey. I used two different telescopes. A 80mm for the stars and a 203mm for Saturn. I use PSP9 to do all the post processing and combination of the images. This is a mosaic of 16 images, each image is a stack of 10 images to cut down on the background noise and city lights. Captured with a webcam which I altered to enable really long exposure times (30 seconds here).
