Description
G'day. This is a photo of a Cicada (a very big bug thingy) from my garden here in Melbourne, Aust. It lives in the ground most of the year and digs its way out of the ground (holes are about 3cm wide)in early summer. Its very big with a body length of about 6cm. And yes its a super bright green colour. They make a very noisy racket on hot days and keep us awake most evenings until full dark. I dont know if they are found anywhere else in the world??
Enjoy
Lou
