Description
The quest for an everlasting light was a common theme in alchemic text. The lab was hand built based on period information. Thanks to the alchemists website for the background information used to inspire this scene.

Very nice illustration.
Such a nice set and mood. The lack of shadows in sertain areas, makes the rating lower than the picture deserves...
Yeh I have to hand paint the shadow detail, for some reason DS locks up when rendering the shadows. I think it's just that it's an old computer and old OS. Maybe one day I'll revisit this one on a ne machine :)
Real nice glowing effects they really make this pic interesting. Great job on the hand painting of the shadows that must had taken you sometime....Shannon ;}
Ok I had to render the BG in another program to get this to work but here is the finished work. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1152736&Start=1&Artist=MRX3010&ByArtist=Yes
