Description
A scene inspired by one of the ancient Pentathlon events - Discus Throwing.
Anton Kisiels' Apollo Maximus 2005 Poser figure (from RuntimeDNA) was used as a controlling volume for almost 100,000 'fluid' particles.
Other scene elements made in Cinema4D.
Maxwell Render RC5 used for the materials, lighting and rendering via a Cinema4D plugin.

wow this is one of my favs out of your collection. like the use of colour. feel really good id be tempted to try some motion blur so give a nice effect maybe
Dang Becco! I had no idea you were a regular/vetran over here on R'osity! Nice to see another MW user on here. Great work as always.
nice style that I haven't seen anywhere else. Would work great as a poster for a sports event.
Yeah this is awsome the figure looks like water colours. i agree with bazze you have your own stlye
Thank you for commenting. eko: Motion blur with Maxwell Render is not working yet but will keep this in mind for when it is. mplogue: Renderosity is a nice place to see images from many software packages. bazze: Or with just the liquinian figure/s t-shirts might work well. madluko: Not fully happy with the material but it was first proper go with Maxwell RC5. The next one will use a similar material with a coating layer to give a thin film effect - well that's the plan anyway!
great 3d remake of the discobolo i think that Mirone is happy too :)
