Description
The blue in this photo is actually Peyto Lake, fed by Peyto glacier, which is only about 5 km from the lake. The ground up rock, or glacial flour, gives the lake its color.
The lake is in Banff National Park, Canada, along the road between Banff and Jasper.
Thanks for looking and any comments.

I'll take your word for it that it's not sky, but was there any other perspective or technique that could prove it?
Awesome photo. I'd have said the sky was a wonderful shade of blue if you hadn't said that. :~)
Ahhh, reminds me of Lake Brienz, a similar colors, and looking down from the mountain forests it has a comparable effect! Gorgeous work! :)
My brain does not want to make this a lake, it only wants to call it sky. What an interesting picture and perspective.
A very "cool" perspective, Dennis. The blue couldn't be more perfect as a sky image. Lori and I recently saw several rivers that ran white and traced the origins to the minerals released by hot springs. Nature never fails to fascinate!
Wow. What a super image....sure looks like the sky.
