Description
USS Texas (BB35) in her berth at San Jacinto Battlefield east of Houston. This is a pre-1988 capture before her renovation as seen in "Makin' Her Seaworthy."

Love those old ships. Never was stationed on a battleship. The waiting list was too long. Everybody I knew wanted on one.
She is indeed a genuine and magnificent piece of hardware!
haven't been aboard in decades (no, no THAT many..;), not too far from the San Jacinto monument, as I recall..brings back memories..we have the USS NC up here, Iowa class (I think), still it's a cool pic.

Looks as regal as a Lady I know from Texas... She always has My Big Gun saluting...BB35 still is a fine sight!
