Description

"Today the god hypothesis has ceased to be scientifically tenable ... and its abandonment often brings a deep sense of relief. Many people assert that this abandonment of the god hypothesis means the abandonment of all religion and all moral sanctions. This is simply not true. But it does mean, once our relief at jettisoning an outdated piece of ideological furniture is over, that we must construct some thing to take its place." - Sir Julian Huxley "When men destroy their old gods they will find new ones to take their place." - Pearl S. Buck "If God did not exist it would be necessary for us to invent Him." - Voltaire Several models from a cd collection called Combo 10 that I purchased at http://www.baument.com/ were used in this image, as well as a model from the excellent Fantastic Empire collection by matcreator...

Imagine theres no Heaven or Hell below Imagine theres no Religion. Imagine all the people living in harmony. {John Lennon} If God is dead, then the actor plays His part. {Sting} What you have created here is something powerful and very controversial. It takes heart... down right gut's to speak so openly in a world where words can get one killed. While I'm not sure I agree with every aspect this piece represents I applaud your courage, artistic tallents, and the non-violent / non-confrontational way you have made your statment.
