Description
G'day. This photo was taken in a temperate (cool) climate rainforest (near where I took the previously uploaded Murrindindi Cascades series). Being in Victoria (southern Australia)it gets very cold in winter with some snow and snow fed streams and the rainforests grow in very narrow and frost protected/sheltered creek gullies. You only need to walk 20 metres uphill on either side of the creek line and its all gone and reverts back to typical Eucalyptus Forest. This particular tree was a Myrtle Beech with extensive Moss growth and Epiphytic ferns on it.
Enjoy
Louise.
