Description
When I first started with Terragen here at Renderosity, the images that inspired me the most were from hillrunner - and and they still do. Those sweeping, almost panoramic vistas of impossible landscapes with alien atmospheres always do it for me.
This, then could be a tribute to Olivier, except for one minor detail I added that you won't see in his images. Can you guess what it is? Hint: it's not the moon.
Thanks for looking in!

This is really how I like my rich2's: wide vistas, alien landscapes and suggestive coloration. Absolutely splendid!
Splendid surface work...and a great atmo as usual!
Is 'water' the answer?...hey...I love the sky colors here..it does remind me of a hillrunner
Hahaha beautiful tribute to one of my favorites artists :) I believe that I forgot how to make images like this one... very beautiful lighting and surface mapping on this strange terrain...
It must be the water, although I think there were 2 of Hill's earlier works with water. . .or was it 1. Either way, beautiful render, and lovely tribute. I think Olivier really deserves many more of these tributes, as I think he's inspired every last one of us in some form
Me encanta este nuevo trabajo,Rich2.Es muy realista,la postproduccion genial como siempre.Good work!
Wonderful view... and a nice tribute to hillrunner. Of course, the 'detail' was the water. Olivier doesn't know what it is :o)))
Superb work on the atmo and a wonderful tribut! Olivier is also one of my favs with his stunning desertrenders he really deserves it! Great work!
Beautiful render and atmo!
Excellent setting, well done.
Bravo! Wonderful work and the moon is superb! V
I know it's the water, I don't recall seeing any of his with it. And this is gorgeous Rich, most especially the sky... that atmosphere is a keeper...
Wonderful image! Great terraced terrain with perfect color textures and yes, the atmo is perfect!
Great atmo!! Love the moon!
Wow, impressive work.
Terrific tribute - I agree we all owe Olivier much for his inspiration. You, too, Rich! And this is a gem in all aspects. So mysterious and finely done.
A very beautiful view with this low lighting and atmosphere - my favorite kind! Your terrain, surfaces and water work combine for natural and realistic picture.
Have you used overhang? I love the colour.
Beautiful.
Superb atmos and lighting :)
