Description
This is a concept painting done for a book cover of a story about a boy who develops a relationship with a mysterious crow with steely blue, almost human eyes. The final version is somewhat different as the author pointed out that boy was to be 12 years old (which somehow escaped me completely) and wanted the crow's position to be changed and I can not show it yet in any case. So I thought to share this , this version remains mine.

Anyway, this is truly amazing in detail, as always, and you really have a strong grasp of depicting all areas of natuture perfectly! I just wonder if the crow will even teach the boy how to fly!
