Description
In Alaska, there's a LOT of wilderness and years ago I spent a couple of years in the "bush" - no phone, radio, TV or newspaper...but I had a Christmas tree! This image is kind of an amalgamation of several memories from those years. I still have a fondness for the wilderness, and even though I live in the largest city in Alaska - the "wilds" are not too awful far from me...still. :-)
Rendered in Bryce 5, post in Photopaint and Painter...Happy Holiday season to all!! Thanks so very much to all of you who took the time to stop by my gallery and comment on my previous images. I hope to get caught up with commenting this weekend. Peace. :-)

ive been reading alaskan history for fourteen years and have seen many photos of wilderness alaska and i think this image captures it perfectly, excellent work.
Oh...I forgot! In the last 8 days or so, we have had 14 inches of snow, then 3 days of ice fog, then another 5 inches of snow...and it looks exactaly like this...outside now! Everything is blindingly WHITE! :-)

You make some very beautiful artwork. Excellent work
This is a pretty one!
You get artistically active and I'm now bouncing from one site to the other!.lol. Brrrr, this is chilling to the bones but fascinating. Many details here for everyone, yes, Anita's trademark. It's like a contest to discover all that's included here!. It must have been an unique experience having no radio, TV, annoying phones or much more nasty newspapers. None of these have any value compared to having a Christmas tree and a nice meal with a loved one, only lighted by the tiny tree lights. Wait for me, I'll be there!!...yeah, I wish...sigh
This shows some really terrific use of color! Cold looking and yet full of life, even if it is a little frozen. Love all of the details and your great work on the trees!
Lovely scene - great attention to detail! Love it!! :-)
wow, what a nice winterly scene this is...I love the icicles on the cabin, those frozen fir trees and the ground...only thing I dont like is the sky...looks flattened and clouds are 2D and it is too red for the scene. I suggest you make a gray looking clouds and maybe add snow to the scene, but overall the image is EXCELLENT one of the best winterly bryce scenes I have seen.
ANITA, YOU ARE A MASTER ARTIST! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART!
Wonderful. The color really makes this image. Would make a great card. Get Hallmark on the phone!
