Arend said it! Day after day, top class FE work, and this one is no exception. I like the two-layered look here, the dark blue figures in the background bring forth the beauty of the brighter shapes really well. Amazing work!
Mainly a matter of technique, I guess, plus fiding the good motifs, of course. And the definition of 'no add. PP' - to me it's no filtering and no hanky-panky otherwise, only what enhances the pic without changing it. I render in FE as large as it will go using 4-point AA. Then export the pic from FE as a BMP file. I then downsize the pic in a graphics program of choice, thus gaining even more AA'ing. Finally I adjust brightness/contrast and sharpen the pic, to compensate for loss of this during downsizing. Voila. Takes quite some computing time, but worth the effort.
