Quadrant matron, Sephi, has been captivated by the young warrior, Salum. She can not keep him as it would break the conditions of a long held pact between their nations. To save face, the Huns would have to answer against the Ruaketti with an equal action resulting in bloodshed. A sly woman, Sephi devises a distraction that will serve to give her some time with Salum. It won't hurt anyone and would pleasure her...she laughs to herself at her cleverness. Sephi orders Perel to call the Dredges of the lower sewer system to grid meeting. The Dredge are the lowest class of sewer rat but possess the most sensitive senses. They can feel vibrations in the ground and hear sounds below normal hearing. Yes, they will do just fine for Sephi's purpose. ----------------------------- This was one of my entries into the Dawn of Darkness contest. It didn't come close to the skill of the top winners but I didn't want to waste it so I added a couple more ghouls and am using it to further my Sewer Rats story. Did I say that? Another story?
