My DAZ3D Futute of Digital Art entry, posted here (smaller size) now that the contest is over.
Daz Studio 1.0 used for final render with no postwork. Studio Primatives plugin used to make:

Cylinder outside as a moonpool being vacuumed out!

Oh yes, this was one of my favorites! I love the concept, and it fit the theme perfectly. The page of doodles is brilliant, and I love the Dazzle Digi-Painter - so clever! Great composition from the apple on the teacher's desk to the earth in the background, the globe of the moon - much thought and creativity went into this, and it goes way beyone excellent! vote
This is an amazing render...you really out did yourself here. It is wonderfully put together with wonderful imagination. I am very very impressed.
Interesting concept... But considering the number of rocks and stones that frequently hurt the surface of our moon, I would feel a little bit "anxious" behind those giant windows... Cool work, anyway...
