Description

The successor to a previous post. Worked a little harder on personality, expression and gesture, and the challenges of a landscape (cinematic)format. Also, the robots ('natives') get to fight back! Credits: Luc Faveraeu's wonderful Aurore-Boat. Daz figures and Poserstyle clothes. The ship is a object supplied with Vue 5.

Another good render, but you need to use SpellCheck. The word is, "sharpened", not "sharped", and there is one too many "e"'s in "deep", and only one "n" in Danish....

I am absolutely blown away. The image is so historic looking-WOW. The overall presentation is just PERFECT. Yea there are a few spelling mistakes, but this site is for 3d art and that's what I come to appreciate. Your image and illustrative work is gorgeous. VOTE!!!!!!!!!

Gotta love this story! Robot natives living on a desert island, plundering 'explorers' with futuristic weapons, great design and layout. Fantastic work!

Way cool, man! It really shows that you put a lot of effort into expressions and poses! Great story line as well! IMHO one of your best so far. And this time those Spaniards are getting their due credit as well ;)

Love it, simply LOVE IT! For a second there I thought you were going to be purely historical, and then I saw the robots. This is a fantastic idea. I really like the colors, particularly the way the reds in the mens uniforms are complemented by the red hue on the beach sand. Subtle but effective. The composition really fits the format for a two-page illustration (although, if I were the publisher I would have asked you to move the leader so the page-break doesnt cut through his arm). The robots are a bit of a jumble for me, though. I like that there are three of them (thus hinting that there are more of them and that the men may be outnumbered), but the robot farthest to the right is getting lost in the palm tree and sort of mixes in with the center robot. Im not sure what I would suggest here you need the tree to establish the setting, and you need the robot to balance the scene and contribute to the drama. For a moment I wondered what it would look like if you pulled the third robot down and gave us a close-up of his head and shoulder, possibly with a hand holding a rock but Im worried this would damage the overall effect of the scene. It might make it more dramatic, but I dont think it would suit the material as well. Sorry, I guess Im rambling now. Your work really makes me want to study and dissect it at length. Thanks again for sharing your EXCELLENT work with us! VOTE
