Description
March 8 - 9 1862, Hampton Roads Virginia, near Sewell's Point, The USS Monitor and The CSS Merrimac(later renamed the Virginia) meet in an historic battle of the American Civil War and naval history. The battle ended in a stalemate. Monitor and Virginia by the hankster, clipper in background by jedswindells, water is a terrain, a radial light semi-dome for lighting, postwork in PS7. Nice render, Sack'. Looks more accurate than others. Don't forget to add hills of the opposite shore, since this battle was fought in an enclosed bay. And there would be a little more smoke from the guns, I should think. Nice touch adding one of the Union frigates in the distance. The USS Minnesota? (the USS Congress and USS Cumberland were already sunk by the time of this battle) Good Job!
