Not the most bizarre Air Force waste of money (the Goblin wins that dubious award) buit definitely a contender. I saw this thing once. Looked like something out of a scifi flick. Hmm, you know, a 3D model of this would be great for retro-50s CGI images.....
One of the bizzare planes of the 50's. I always thought it was an interesting plane. It is good to do soem experementation like that. Ther eare a lto of other strange 50's planes too. Like the goblin and the sea dart.
Strange bird indeed.

500 mph must have been fun. Intriguing too is to know how it landed. Wheels, stilts, parachute? Cliff.
