The H'lomeh are a hominoid race that have a scaley skin. They have four different skin colors around which one of the cardinal directions and a body of traits are associated with each skin color. For example, Whites are associated with the North and are thought to be reserved, wise, etc. Rey'ch'el (Ray-CHUH-el) is a White; and she certainly lives up to the traditional attributes of a White. Rey'ch'el is the oldest daughter of Vahlois, High-Prince of the H'lomeh, and H'roh, who died when Rey'ch'el was very little. She is also the granddaughter of K'nishi, a former High-Prince (It's not a hereditary title.) and the older half-sister and foster-mother of Liiih, Sha'a'an, and Omanii. She will rather reluctantly become one of the Daughters of the Four Directions, one of the wives of the Newman no Anoch, Lord Hey-yumshio'ka, the legendary "Gift-from-the Sea." I am happy to report that although she was very unhappy to be wed to Newman, she did come to love him very much and to find much joy as one of his wives. Rey'ch'el is one of the major characters in a trilogy (or two or three) that I have written. For years, I have wanted to do a portrait of her and her sisters, but the technology that I could afford just wasn't there until Poser6. It is still not quite correct, because the H'lomeh forehead should slope back a bit more. Everything else is accurate. Their "hair" is slightly thicker than our hair and are not true hairs but extremely thin tendrils of flesh. Yes, their eyeball and iris are much larger than human eyes, but their lips are soft and very kissable. :) They do not have lashes on their lower lids, but they do have extremely long eyelashes on the upper lids. Their faces are much flatter than ours with somewhat larger brow ridges, and their ears are very small compared to the human ear. Hair is "FK-Divine Hair" by wenke.
