Description

According to legend, Mawu is the moon godess of the Fon people and twin to her sister, the Sun Goddess. I found the legend fascinating because I've seen no pictures of her which gives plenty of wiggle room for artistic license. As Goddess of the Night, I felt the eagle, representing freedom, and the owl, representing wisdom where good symbols for her. Hey thanks for all the well wishes for us on the storm. I live in Memphis, and we got mostly wind and flooding. And thanks everybody for taking the time to visit and comment. You are appreciated. skin texture and tatoo are Aylin by Vali and dreampaint; Angylena Wings by sharkey; wing texture by Arki; Devilicious outfit by digital intoxication; breacelet by Vali and lory;hair is by danae and romanceworks; and background by sorceress. Thanks for looking and commenting if you've time. They all are appreciated. Hugs, and have a great week.

Your artistic license created a stunning piece. I love the colors, pose and expression. The way you have her reaching for the eagle is wonderful.
