Van Zefden road is up there I think. I was a little kid when I was in West Monroe. My uncle lived there in the 1950's. I like roads like this
Excellent? That is an understatement in ranking. You are able to give one the sense that something is waiting for you around the bend. A journey, an adventure. I can see in my minds eye people walking this road. Barefoot, my favorite way to travel. A well traveled road. Shown extremely well by the divets of time that you've created here. I can see this road after a rain, children splashing in puddles. It looks the perfect road for puddle jumping. And missing on purpose! LOL ! On a warm summers day, sunlight dappling through the trees that keep you cool under their canopy. What a gorgeous winter scene this would make! Autumn would be equally spectacular!

I thought the same thing as JustAlice. I've been down hundreds of roads just like this. They might look similar, but they always lead to someplace new. You caught the country road as it is
Hmmm, the more I view your work, the more it seems we have in common! We lived in an old farm house (Rented) for 5 years, in the country side. Our road looked exactly like this, sans the brush strokes! ; ) We both miss it greatly, having sold our souls for work in the city....some day we hope to return! Thanks for sharing!!
