Mission Altar
Obviously, this is the mission's altar - a tad ornate for my personal taste - almost everything up there has been gilded in either gold or silver. This was a particularly onerous shot as I felt that bringing a tripod into a church while people were praying would be a bit gauche so I sat in the first pew, rested the camera on the railing in front of me and squeezed off the shot - 1.5 seconds at f3.1 - one could spend weeks just photographing the detail up here.

WOW I've never seen a church like this one before! So much work has gone into it. Hmmm a tad too ornate for my taste too. Wonderful capture especially with no tripod.
What amount of work is necessary to sculpt this! Though I prefer gothic stily, I am still amazed on such imagination. Good capture wihout a tripod!

Ah! yes, well this the way they do, gold and more gold, and statues all over, they really like this idea all are like this in Sicily too, but lots of colors and gold are what they like, so it is very nice, and lots of work, a place to spend time and look, Eccellent V* Lina
