Marisol's family was among the original settler's of Winterset, the fourth planet in its star system. Hers is the second generation. Her pets' ancestors were on Winterset for several million years before any Earther ever set foot upon this world. The farming settlement in the distance below is her home and it is communal in organization. When she isn't doing her share of the farm work, Marisol likes to go off alone to climb the various exotic rock formations in the area. It is on these that she came across her new friends. The ratdragons were not afraid of her and she quickly won their trust. She discovered that they loved to be scratched and she was soon bringing them little treats that they greedily devoured. Marisol liked being up here with her little friends. It was peaceful and quiet with only the sound of the wind and an occasional mild squeak or chirp from the ratdragons. Down there, she felt more alien, like the interlopers her kind were. Up here, Marisol felt that she was becoming one with her adopted planet.
