I think it's great. Would it change the mood/feeling if her eyes were closed??
better imo... it'll be a personal preference whether the eyes are open or closed... if it were my child, i want to see the eyes... maybe with a bit more light in them... you can do this closeup with the dodge tool ;]
would it be even better if she was looking straight into the camera??
