Description
Croton Bay Coastline,Northeast Scotland
Hi everyone! Here's another shot from my little vacation to Scotland.
As I've said before,I am trying my best to bring you as many different and interesting shots of Scotland that I can find.I don't want to bore you!!!
This one was taken near a little beach in Croton Bay.I have no idea what this big thingy is OR how it got on top of the bluff I was standing on,but I thought it looked kind of cool,so I took this shot.
I am sure it could look better, but right now, ughhh,I am at the mercy of a lappy that shuts itself down for no apparent reason!!!Fortunately this much of my work at least was saved!
I so appreciated all your wonderful comments on my last upload,The Passage of Time.I'd really love to know what you think about this one! Please feel free to tell me of any suggestions that may improve it.I so value your opinions!
Have a great week everyone and as always, thanks for looking!
Marlene
P.S.I know it's a lousy title.I welcome your suggestions about that as well!

This type of structure really impresses me.How many times I tried this in Bryce...Great stuff Marlene.
Scotland is truly a beautiful place. looks like someone took the ding dong out of a really huge bell or a ship lost their anchor. excellent capture
Id love to see the bike this was attached too. #:oP This is really beautiful Marlene, such a cool find and wonderful capture. As always you found the perfect crop for it. And colors are just right. Excellent work indeed!!!! Have a wonderful rest of your week #:O)
A giant's rattle or war club i bet. Great shot and like the comp very well here, slides us right back and into the shot.
Impressive, Marlene! The compo is just perfect!
"passage of time": to be continued...
WOW! Seriously big thingy appears to be a grist mill wheel - my first mental poot was of an enormous Scot pushing this thing around in circles and just waiting for the chance to break loose and slaughter his captors with a claymore :-) uh, too much imagination right - magnificent image that truly sparks the imagination! Bravo!
Superb composition, a masterful landscape. Any suggestions would be to alter it to anothers personal preference so are not really relevant.
Mmmmh! Don't really know what to say about that one to be honest! O_o
Remnants of the great war!? Hmmm. Strange things here. Pity there was no info added here. Perhaps it's the imagination that has to be put at work! Fantastic shot, Marlene!
Ahh Haa its a Sassinach Basher. Bash them good Marlene! lol Mysterious looking scene, well found.
Fantastic landscape photo!Very impressive!Thanks!!V
Totally unable to come up with any practical way to use this Seriously Big Thingy... Lack of imagination I suppose :) Lovely compo and gorgeous colors here. Excellent!
Nice perspective.

How come everyone got to go to Scotland without me?? This is a very fasicinating photo, I like it! The little path and the tiny flowers really add to it! Well done!
Beautiful landscape !!!
it is an interesting piece, left behind... wonder what became of the rest of the mill.. would look good in b/w too, maybe with selective color of the rusty stone... just an idea... ;]
Wow, wonderful shot, the mystery of it against the background of rocks!
I thought I felt something fall off my Flintstone mobile...great and interesting pic

g'day Marlene, like the compostion in this, what is that thing?
LOL!I have no idea what that thing is Bb,but I'm sure enjoying 'hearing' everyone's guesses!I'm thinking it probably is a millstone, but how the heck did it get on top of a bluff like that, and why?Who puts a mill on a bluff????I thought mills needed streams and such...-M
