Description
Have been wanting to do an image with emaciated Hell horses in a fantasy setting with brimstone and fire; and finally attempted it. The morphs don't let me get the amount of thinness I want in all parts of the animal so I ended up with an old gal that's very skinny but only from age rather than abuse. She looks pretty good, just old and tired...spending her days snoozing outside the barn :)
Need suggestions for flies? I wanted the cat looking at a few flying around but they end up looking like dots...any ideas?

wow this is fantastic!! excellent horse and cat and the scene is beautiful!! VOTE
Beautiful render. Excellent detail on the ground. Great pose and texture work on both the horse and the cat. Keep it up!!
This is awesome, your attention to detail is mind boggling! Flies are hard to come by. I had the same idea of them buzzing around a zombie troll, just didn't work out. If you get any good suggestions let me know!
This is really awesome! Great job on the animals and excellent perspectives! :)
So attractive art work. This tired horse is very attractive and beautiful. It is exactly alive. /|:o)
realist horse scene...excellent
really beautiful work, love it !! ;o)
Kool render Burpee!!!have you seen my skinny horse, I think I turned the "E" dial up to 10??? or added a bump/displacement maps...sorry 'bout you flies, I will have a think about that one
Excellent render and expression of the grandeur of time upon your mare. Outstanding all round friend and good luck with your flies, agree with jif3d...!!!...:))
You want flies with that?...how 'bout Mouseturd?...geez,I guess lose the realism and add a motion trail to those dots....geez,can't believe you asked that!Oh,I think there's enough detail here and a great image to boot!
Lol! Yardobe, I don't mean for them to be buzzing around like around a piece of day old meat but just a couple flying about aimlessly. Horses always attract a bot fly or two :) I like the motion blur idea, thanks!
you did one super job here love the ideal of the old horse and cat too .
Excellent image, extremely well done!!!! love the way you have used grey against grey!
Excellent. I can even see the ribs of this poor old worn out thing. The texture is just superb. Post might be a good way of doing the flies. Paint them in and maybe put them toward the forground for better distinction and have just the wings blurred. To tell the truth, this picture stands superb without the flies.
What a fantastic scene! It's my favorite animal and the cat is so cute..Extremely well done v :)
Very well done - you definitely know something about horses ;o)
