Description
A Greenbottle Fly (Dipthera Calyptratae Oestroidea Calliphoridae Lucilia) sitting on a bush in my backyard. A pretty common insect as far as I know.

could also be "Lucillia caesar" ... but difficult to say, the picture is not perfect sharp... and we miss info about the place where you catched this fly... Anyway, nice close-up ! :~)

The eye color is the magic. If it lands on me it is gone as I have felt those bites.

This particular variety prefers flowers or garbage over people. As long as those are readily available, they tend to not be too much a nuisance.
